Marriage Counseling

The St. Joseph Counseling Center of Catholic Charities offers short-term, professional outpatient counseling for familes, children, and individuals  in Oklahoma City and select rural communties. Up to six sessions can be offered at no cost, and counseling is available in both English and Spanish. Please call 405-524-0969 to make a referral or schedule an appointment.

Research indicates that pornography use is widespread in America and is a contributing factor to over half of all divorces.  If you are struggling to overcome an addiction to pornography and masturbation, consider the following resources:

With resources available for strugglers, parents, ministry leaders, and educators, CleanHeart.online/archokc is a respository for the various resources the Archdiocese is using to help combat the evil of pornography.

Fortify

Fortify was designed to equip individuals struggling with compulsive pornography use--young and old--with tools, education, and community to assist them in reaching lasting freedom. Their mission is to help spark an uprising of people tired of porn messing with their lives--and ready for something far better.

Covenant Eyes

Covenant Eyes seeks to equip people with tools that provide protection and encourage accountability and trust in the fight against Internet temptation.  Services include: accountability  relationships and reports, filtering, and educational materials. 

RECLAiM Sexual Health

RECLAiM Sexual Health offers a science-based, Catholic Online Recovery Program and other resources for those who desire to reclaim God's plan for their lives and the lives of loved ones impacted by pornography or other unhealthy sexual behaviors.

Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault

Hotlines

If you are in an abusive relationship, have been sexually assaulted, or know someone who needs help, please call toll-free: 1-800-522-7233.

The StrongHearts Native Helpline is in place to assist American Indian and Alaskan Native women affected by domestic violence and dating violence. The advocates who answer the helpline understand American Indian culture, tribal sovereignty, and jurisdiction issues. Call at 1-844-762-8483.

Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA)

The YWCA has a transitional housing program for women and children who are victims of family violence. Participants have up to two years to obtain the education and job skills training needed to begin a new life. Services include case management, child care, counseling, legal services and transportation. There are seven apartments, including one handicapped accessible unit. All are equipped with furnishings and basic household items, The apartments are a two-year housing program that allows a woman to get back on her feet while going to school, job training or working toward self-sufficiency. Healing after divorce

Surviving Divorce

The Surviving Divorce Program offers hope and healing to those who have experienced the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage.  The 14 week session is for the newly separated or divorced and those still struggling with issues many years later.  
 
Classes are planned for 2020 at St. Eugene in Oklahoma City (February-May), St. Monica in Edmond (March-June), St. John the Baptist in Edmond (Summer), Holy Spirit in Mustang (Fall) and St. Joseph in Norman (Fall).

Post-abortion Healing

Rachel's Vineyard Retreats

Experience the healing love of Jesus Christ on a Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreat. The retreat offers an opportunity to deeply enter into the grieving process and identify the ways your abortion may have affected you. Discussions, spiritual exercises, prayer and reflection are combined with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a Memorial Service honoring your child and a Mass of Resurrection. Participation is strictly confidential and offers a beautiful opportunity to experience God’s love, forgiveness and tender compassion.

Both men and women are invited to experience this therapy for the soul. The program is an apostolate of the Catholic Church, but those from other faith backgrounds are welcome to attend.
