As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

Welcome to the Stewardship and Development office of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Our mission is one of service to the parishes and ministries of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. under the guidance of Archbishop Coakley, we seek to empower individuals to utilize their God given gifts (time, talent, and treasure) in service to others. We seek to Go Mke Disciples.

The book, Stewardship: A Disciples's Response is the pastoral letter from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The first line of the book says "Once one chooses to become a disciple of Jesus Chris, Stewardship is not an option." This is a challenge for each of us as we seek to come closer to Christ and his Church.

The bishops describe a Christian steward as one who:

  • Receives God's gifts gratefully

  • Cherishes and tends them responsibly

  • Shares them in justice and love

  • Returns them to God

Everything we have, everything we are, and everything we will become is a gift from God. As stewards of those gifts, we are called to return a portion of our time, talent, and treasure in gratitude for God's great bounty.
