Yukon couple leads Worldwide Marriage Encounter

Rick and Bev Feller, parishioners at Saint John Nepomuk in Yukon, were selected as the Worldwide Marriage Encounter’s Leadership Team for Oklahoma and for the Amarillo Diocese in Texas.

They have been active in Marriage Encounter in Oklahoma and Amarillo since 2007.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is the largest pro-marriage movement in the world, offering a weekend for couples who want to make their good marriage even better. The weekend provides couples with a Catholic experience, facilitated by three team couples and a priest. Individuals of all faiths are welcome.

The emphasis is on communication and the tools husbands and wives need to support them in living God’s desire for their marriage. Priests and religious also are welcome to strengthen their relationship with God and the people they serve.
Rick and Bev were married five years when Bev first heard an advertisement about Marriage Encounter on the radio that said, “Spend a weekend away from the job, the kids, the chores and all the distractions to concentrate on your marital relationship.”

The next Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend in Oklahoma City will be Sept. 15-17, 7:30 p.m. Friday to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, at the Catholic Pastoral Center, 7501 Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City.
