Angels of Destiny 2018

Deaconess Pregnancy and Adoption will host their 11th annual Angels of Destiny fundraiser 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Aug. 30 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Funds raised at the event will fund free services the agency provides to expectant parents, adoptive and foster families and children. Tickets $125 for individual; $200 for couple. Includes dinner. Keynote speaker is Jim Caviezel, the actor who portrayed Jesus in “The Passion of the Christ” and Luke in “Paul, Apostle of Christ.”

Suicide prevention training

Did you know you can help save a life? Catholic Charities encourages parishioners to participate in mental health awareness training. QPR is a free one-hour suicide prevention training that provides three simple steps to reach someone who may be feeling hopeless. Professional counseling also is available. Rite of Election

Planning has begun for the annual Rite of Election ceremonies to be held at 2 p.m.; 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. the First Sunday of Lent, Feb. 18.
